Default orange peel or pineapple skin in water?

i ever heard b4 of people putting orange peel or pineapple skin in water for arowana. any "old bird" who know of the reason might wanna share a thing or 2 on this topic? izzit by putting orange peel or pineapple skin to lower down the ph of the water? care to share if there r other reason?

We are not sure how much the orange will lower the pH thus its better not to try... theres no clear direction of how the orange peel works...

What I know is that fruits are very acid....in it.....I never try it be 4......or how about durain skin can...bo.....
