wah why a thread started by bro evo became so hostile towards himself.

relax guys =D

Back to topic.

i think the even if you might have success breeding at 27degrees, the spawn yield of shrimplets is not high also, less than 10 ?

I noticed that if you have chiller, the shrimplets spawn yield is higher.

hope it helps in the discussion

How about I set my chiller in the range of 23.8 to 24.8 deg, is it alright?

My 2 feet moss tanks got orange, snow white, yellow, crs, sakura shrimps.

if u set too low for your chiller .the main problem is the main tank likely to sweat.and then water start dripping on the cabinet or on the floor.and also will not able to view your crs clearly.every time got to wipe away the sweaty tank .and also cabinet will not last too.set at 25 plus and minus variable 1 deg gd enough.if set too low say 22 or 23 also can.but the crs all at hibernate mode.

Use a chiller lar. By using a fan temperature can go room temperature -ve 2.9C max; but need to topup water frequently.... unless we use RO/DI water (TDS=0) otherwise minerals accumulated is a bomb.

Temperature is the most concerned topic in CRS keeping. Often heard questions, on what is the temperature good for CRS, how high can they go.

Do a search, you can see at least the topic is brought up once as a new thread.

If a simple question is ask like: Is [Y grade] CRS able to breed at XC, then simple answer will be given yes or no. And some yes, some no. Even at temperature like 25C which is ideal to many, some will not able to keep the alive.

So temperature is not the only deciding factor to keep CRS. And other factor is clean water, another factor is oxygen level. Temperature has a strong impact on clean water and oxygen level. Toxic level in lower at lower temperature, for example, free ion of ammonia at is lower at lower temperature. Disolved Oxygen level is higher in lower temperature.

If you have boundary high temperature and have a way to maintain oxygen level and clean water, then maybe ok for breeding and/or survival.

If you have boundary high temperature and small tank size, lousy filter, immature tank and ...... then it will not be ok.

Sorry to disappoint your coming back,
you should consider investing a chiller.
Plants do grow better too.
Agree on that. Plant able to grow well in a shrimp tank is important. It helps to remove some wastes and generate oxygen. A shrimp tank with plant not growing well maybe affected by temperature or whatever other factors add burden the the fragil eco system. Plant itself can deteriode and add waste into the water which can be harmful to shrimps.

hi bro, any different between a lower rate of crs and a higher one in terms of breeding? it seem the birth rate of lower rate like c is higher than those of A and s as post by some bro here. i tok all the same, just different is the concentration of the colour? will a c breed with A or above too?

thanks for the advise advance
