Default What test kit should I buy?

I am currently having CRS in my 1 ft tank. What kind of test kits should I buy? What brand and price do you guys recommend? Thanks.

Once I understand what is the requirement of rearing CRS, I may then consider to upgrade my tank to a 3ft tank. Any comment are welcome.

Definitely Ammonia and Nitrite test kits.
Also can get a ph indicator or a Ph pen to be more accurate.
Get a thermometer to keep track of the temperature as well.

The other test kits like Kh,Gh, are in a way not really crucial unless you want tiptop water parameters.

Currently, CRS are in the mature tank for already 2months. So far there is no death except in the beginning few days. Can I assume that the Ammonia and Nitrate is almost zero since there is no death? I heard that if these are not desirable, the shrimp will die.

I test NH3/4 and GH regularly, NO3 not often, NO2 seldom.

Ammonia and nitrate or even nitrite is not the only thing kill CRS. Your tank can be zero ammonia, zero nitrite and zero nitrite but CRS still die.

Here's the test kits that I have:

Same here, very expensive man.
So far I am not using any test kits as all I am keeping is cherries and yamato, but I would get a test kit if I was keeping CRS.

Pass by a fish shop today. Wanted to buy test kits, the owner shows me some kits that cost $20 from UK. I told her that I am looking for kits that are around 10+. She said those are made in China, some as cheap as $6 and they are not accurate at all. Is it true?
