for keeps
i think as long its keep properly , it does not matter, cool dry place in undisturbed from other weather n heat condition should last forever, otherwise i myself would keep dried leaves n use it as and when necessary, no harm too

I started using black water and the results are not as satisfying as the real thing. What I do is just leave a piece of the leaf in the tank until the next WC. I age my water with a few drops of black water. Its up to you.

careful, sometimes the leaf might decompose in your betta's tank and you'll see white slimy/cotton look-alike stuff around the leaf; that's not very good just take extra care when leaving the ktp leaf in the tank for a few days.

indeed,if it sticks to your betta its hard to get if off unless you try to suck it away from the fins using a small siphon.

actually, best not to even try siphoning it off your betta's body or fins. just change the water, it'll fall off on it's own. don't create unnecessary stress

I would usually keep those leaves after brewing my KTP juices. I would dried them and add to my tanks as and when is needed. i do not use it fresh from the packing because fungus would grow on it after some time.
In order to keep my excess juice longer I would refridgerate it, I would usually finished everything within a month and then boil again. Hope this is clear enough. |
