The mouth brooding ap is quite an interesting fish.

This is my current pair of mouth brooder, the ap. sp 'diamond face', yet to breed though.

They are like the 'earth eater' of the apisto world, always burrowing through the substrate picking up scraps.

This is the male

Female

Their setup

Yes, there are endlers, guppys and mollies in there.

The male totally ignore them, its the female that will give chase if they come too close to her.

Did not want her to get stressed out by the male since she is not really ready to breed yet.

Nick, that was exactly what Ec, YM and me thought when we first saw the fish.
Everyone agreed that it resembles eartheater. You have an amazing collection of Apistos there. I'm impressed.

I saw Nicktc selling some and was tempted and asked Scopeyeo if he has something with vibrant color or not, being a tanga collector, I am totally unfamiliar with apistos, so I chose the color which caught my attention most.

I have kept a colony of nanacara adoketa last year, but I don't know if they are considered as dwarf cichlids or what they are supposed to be

Yes, adoketa are dwarf cichlids.

Actually, the pelvicachromis 'taeniatus' west africian is another group of brightly, muti-colored dwarfs.
