I am currently running a Hydra 30 for my 422. Its more of a supplement to my existing filtration.

if I am not wrong, this filter is for 200 litres and below. Your 4 2 1 is abt 216 liters so it should be just nice. However, do note that this filter will not remove all ammonia as stated in the instruction manual, please read it up. So it is better to use as a added filtration rather than the main filter.

Its for a 100-300 litre tank. I use it as a secondary filter on my 4footer. Probably better to have another filter in your tank, unless your tank is small. Note that the Hydra 30 filter has a small space for you to put media like biohome or sponge.
