Default Update on Suriname juvenile angels

Hi Folks,

Here's a quick update on the development of the juvenile Suriname angels which was successfully spawned end of last year. The whole spawn is now about 5-6 months old and they are coloring up nicely.

The only downside is that this spawn suffered some fin burns when they were young and their dorsal development has been affected. Nonetheless, they are slowly growing back to their normal length.

This batch is now about 1.5-2 inch body length and they still inside my grow-out tank. But have decided to throw 2 pcs into my planted tank for some photo-shoot.

Enjoy the pics and any comment is welcomed!

The pattern at the dorsal & anal fin is unique and nice. Blue speckles are also developing well. Can also observed that the angelfish are well fed under your dedicated care

Yes, I do notice the blue sheen around the bars and this is something not visible for the Rio Nanay, which is often confused with the Suriname.

Thanks for the compliments bros. The blue speckles will intensify with age and the finnage will grow longer over time if given the right water parameters.

No difference between the F1 and the adults as far as my line is concerned. I'll share the pics of their parents when they were young to illustrate that. These are pure wild strain. Every single pc in the spawn looks the same without any "throwback".

Here's the link to the first posting on this strain of angelfish.... Pics of the adults are there. Hope that helps.

Well, they will be released into the market soon when their dorsal fins are fully recovered from the earlier fin burns. Won't take long...
