Default tap water now at 7.8 PH

was doing daily water change, but was puzzled why my tank's ph has increased, notmally it was in the range of 7. i just added filter wool into my sump.

when i checked the tap water it was coming out now at 7.8 , before it was at 7.
anything i should do? or i should be looking out for?

not sure if the change is due to storms here stirring sediment in the water reservoir?

any other preparation i should be doing? i usually do water change direct from tap , adding water conditioner before adding the tap water.

You could treat the water in a separate barrel or tank before filling your main tank.

Water conditioner + air stone for a day or 2.

thanks I do add water conditioner into the tank before tap water goes in.
but Ph ended at 7.8 .

I usually do direct tap water change. dosing with anti chlorine into main tank before adding tap water.
