Arowana growling?
Any Bros encounter such incident before?
I am hearing groaning/growling sound from inside my tank. It has been going on for nearly a month, louder & clearer at night. I can't really tell which one in my comm is groaning/growling. Is it the male or the female Arowana that makes that sound? Do Il eave them as they are or do I segregate the pair (when I know for sure which pair)? Hope to hear from more experienced sifus. Thanks in advance. Cheers mate..!! |

I do experienced some groaning sound from my m'sian goldie which is some 6 years. not always but at times once it turned 4 years old; single fish in a 422. initially, I thought I was hearing things but it came from the aro in question |

So, it is common for Arowanas to groan? I sometimes sleep in the living hall when I finish work late at night, so it puzzles me to be hearing these noises. Seems like the tank is vibrating.. Cheers mate..!! |

bro, me too. I was lying on the couch one evening in the hall, tired and flat out. just wanted some quality time by myself. turned on the aircon for the entire house, so it was silent except for the light background music. suddenly, the groaning came. the aro was looking at me pointblank |

Yup mine too. The pair will knock their head and at time the male will give out the sound that's like a frog or toad. Always frighten my family.

So it is the male that is making the sounds? I wake up in the middle of the night when they make such noise. Again, thanks for the input. Cheers mate..!! |
