Well he start me off with fish keeping when I'm young. My first starter fish are the gf. Keep ranchu, ryukin and oranda. After that I start venturing off to much bigger fish and he didn't keep any because all my tanks are huge and he doesn't want to take up some more space. So I now start some tanks of gf for him to look look see see and play play. Not a bad idea at least someone in the house will look after them for me too.

like that can effectively reduce the water pressure/flow right? seems like that to me.

And that is very innovative, i think will diy one small basket to reduce the water pressure/flow also.
