in general yes.
But if you have a gd filtration setup and do frequent wc, i dun see any adverse effect in the growth and general well being of the fishes. Look at how fellow hobbyist in japan and hongkong comm their tank. On the ray vs pleco thing, it depends on the pleco... i have seen pleco and ray and even bichirs comm together with no problem. Juz monitor and see how lor, if the pleco is seen sucking on the ray, juz separate it lor. My 2cents worth |

Hi all
Thanks everybody for your valuable inputs. I have clear most of my fishes and left with only ray, RTG, pleco, EBH and ERH.. It look abit empty now.. LOL Cheers Koolman |

Big space bigger fishes, that is why ppl nowadays put fishes in the pond to grow to target size then transfer to tank.
