Default Eos For Planted Tank?

Thinking of converting my EOS into a planted tank... Read some previous threads and they mentioned that EOS is not idea due to excessive loss of CO2. But has any one has a tanke setup with EOS to share?

Hi Bro

I am using a Sump for my 5x2x2 tank can view in my gallery for my set up.
Only you will not get enough Co2 in the water thats all.

You can try to use EOS but one technique you might want to use is to inject the CO2 at the last section of the sump. I saw someone doing this and quite innovative. His logic is that the reactor/diffusor at the last section will ensure that the water going in is rich in CO2 and be readily circulated.

Guess its something to ponder about, though personally I do recommend that you try not to use EOS. Makes your job very messy.

Using sump for a planted tank is definitely ok.

It is the way you do your piping that makes a different!

Even amano or dupla do use sump for planted tank.

People always say that OHF is very bad for planted tank.
I had modify a OHF that can be used for planted tank, riccia even bubbles when i am using diy co2 last time!

Still contemplating whether to embark on this project. Can foresee that it is going to be a monstrous project especially when the whole setup fails.
Tks anyway
