Rays and lobsters
dear friends, i have a question pls:
i have 2 mid sized motoros in my setup. both are about 12inches in size. one male, one female. i also have a pair of lobsters in the same setup (just bought). lobsters are pretty much full grown, about 4-5 inches long. can i keep them together? seems like the rays are frightened of the lobsters ... thx. |

Lobsters and fishes are rarely a good combination.
Lobsters will nearly always try every attempt to attack fishes that are slow and vulnerable, and meanwhile fishes will most likely attack a lobster that's moulting. |

thx for all the input dudes.
from my observation .... the rays and my lobster (one of the lobster, male, larger, seems to have disappeared!) seems to be co- habiting quite well. the rays going about their own business and so does the lobster. no adverse events yet. interesting enough, my male ray is getting horny, and has inflicted a few "love bites" onto my female motoro. will keep you guyz posted on the developments! |

be careful if the female is smaller than the male....might be fatal...but if they are of the same size or fi female bigger, congrats!!!!

i got the rays from bro Ray2828, and have spoken with him re: possible love bites. but he thinks its unlikely, as they are still young. probably just fighting ....
i really dunno. but will keep my eye out. also, the female is smaller than male, but only just. hope itll be ok. i will keep you bros updated! |
