I would rather buy beckett than aqua-c since its already quite power consuming... Another alternative would be Aqua-Medic Multi SL which myself and Monsterz1975 is using. The aqua-medic skimmer cost around $600.

Very sure that the reefers here can confirm that Aqua-Medic Skimmer is value for money and also easier to "clean".

Hi RDD,

I dun recommend becos dunno how heavily stock yr tank will be.

To skim definately not a problem. but for a heavily stocked tank, the cup fill up quite fast, so u need to constantly clean it.

1s expectation on a skimmer varies. Jus like some prefer to run their tank skimmless, but system still doing well. Or even reduce NO3.

I think u must first know what u want to achieve to run a needle wheel, beckett or even Mazzei(THey are quite good too) skimmer. Running a H&S, AquaMedic will achieve the same result for sure. are u expecting that?

Cheers!

Goh
