Default Aluminum tank stand for big tanks.

I didn't know aluminum can be used to build stands for 4 feet double tier or 6 ft with sump....
I thought aluminum very fragile and bends easily?
BTW, not cheap hor, $xxxx range.

Forgot to add....
$xxxx is just for the price of the stand. No tanks included.

$1000-$2000 might as well use stainless steel. Less material needed and confirm strong enough.

i know which u're referring to, i was skeptical at first too but went down to enquire. it's not your typical aluminium, according to the boss it's the same alloy used for aircraft technology (hence the cost), and the stand is pretty heavy.

i'm using it for my 5x3 2 tier so i'm pretty sure it works

bonus point is that the stand can be taken apart and reattached so it's a plus for ppl who can't fit it into lift/main door otherwise.

I still prefer wooden stand.
Started this thread because my impression of aluminum was very flexible

They are using aluminium extrusion. Last time on AQ there was mention of a supplier in Jalan Besah area. I think the display tanks at Qian Hu are also using this. I saw them setting it up a couple of years ago.

It's been a few years but doesn't seem to catch on.

Personally I prefer wooden cabinets. Unless supplier is willing to do a wrap.

Even the normal steel racks look more simple and clean and you can paint it too.
