A lit thinks we have no land. We actually have scattered parcels of land. The gov controls land released for developments, which will allow better allocation and long term planning of land use.

About 10 years ago, I think they increased the plot ratio and height limit, thus we have >30 storeys HDB blocks. They are likely going to play with this again in the next master plan. This will allow more apartments to be built in the same plot of land.
