Default Refurbish an old FGT

Dear bros, I have recently bought an old fgt that looks quite ugly, with the expoxy peeling and paint scrapped off.

Does any one have advice on how to refurbish an old fgt and make it look as presentable as possible? Will appreciate the help as my parents are hopping mad about an aweful looking box in the house.

Some of the things that are on my mind are:

1. Where do I get expoxy to paint over? Is it possible to get white expoxy?

2. How do I clean the fibre glass tank and make it ready for painting?

3. How to care for the fibre glass tank so It will last long under an exposed area?

Thanks and cheers,
Jonneh

You ever consider letting the fibreglass makers do the touching up for you?

I've sent you the details via pm.
They are doing my new fgt.
Call and talk to them.
Been in the industry for more than 10 years yet very humble.

It will be better if you purchase a new fgt.

Thanks for the response bros. I thought that using an old fibre glass tank will be cheaper since I have some one who let it go to me at a low price.
Will try the fibre glass supplier bro has pm-ed me or DIY on my own. If not will consider buying a new fgt

For FGT, worksmanship and material quality are very very important. Don't only consider cost.
Poor worksmanship may result in bursting tanks. Imagine how much water will be flooding your room if the FGT gives way.
wrong type of epoxy paint may also result in livestock loss.

I've chosen the highest quotation among the several fibreglass maker I've narrow down....
I have heard of people sending in their Malaysia made fgt to them for reinforcement.
Their fgt boated, warped after some time, that why I recommended to TS.
Quality very important to me.
