You can use two 12mm glass and have it sealed together. I have friends that build pond abt 15x7x4 using 2 piece of 12mm sealed together and have not experience any problem. even my 12x5x4 fgt uses 12mm glass sealed together making the thickness to be 24mm.

Planning to do something like your figure 1 for my upcoming place. But in a smaller scale and with Fibre Glass.
Was wondering is Acrylic will be a better choice for the panel? |

btw you have u channel which can hold 1 inch glass?, I'm not sure if its available here. |

You'll need a u channel waiting in the cement, that's my problem here im unable to find u channel that's deep to hold the glass in the cement

planning to have the filter like that, 3-4 columns of filter brush, themJap mats patterned like in the video, to let the water flow through, one problem is i still haveno idea how to hold the filter mats in place
