You need to turn on the lights for a while when your aro is new as it takes time to adjust.

Really need to watch his appetite.
Ask the seller what is his diet and give him the same food if possible.
All the best.

This is a very common issue for arowana.

Its called a spooked arowana(scared)

Happened to me a few nites after i upgraded my tank.

Arowana are very scared of shadow or light in low light condition.
Position tank strategically.

As always, maintain a good water parameter.. aeration, cleanliness and/or increase biological filtration.

Lucky for me, the strike didnt last very long.

Mine stopped eating mp for 3 weeks. But he will chew and spit on one pellet a day so thats what it got. Over time, he got alright and regained its attitude and appetite.

good luck

ts, you may switch on lighting close by its tank too.

no sudden movement in its vicinity.

the juvenile will come to it when it is ready.

be patient and maintain good water parameters.

always remember to close the tank properly at all times.
