Arowana jumpy
Hi all, just got a juv aro recently and when I off my light he started tojiro Liao crazy. I have already added black water. What should I do?

You need to turn on the lights for a while when your aro is new as it takes time to adjust.

Uou can buy those less than 5 watts led lights and it will be sufficient as night light

So do I just leave it on for the whole day or ? When can I start to off it? Just added black water not long ago like few hours ago as reccomend by a bro as I got my aro for 3 days Liao still not eating and not swimming much around

This is a very common issue for arowana.
Its called a spooked arowana(scared) Happened to me a few nites after i upgraded my tank. Arowana are very scared of shadow or light in low light condition. Position tank strategically. As always, maintain a good water parameter.. aeration, cleanliness and/or increase biological filtration. Lucky for me, the strike didnt last very long. Mine stopped eating mp for 3 weeks. But he will chew and spit on one pellet a day so thats what it got. Over time, he got alright and regained its attitude and appetite. good luck |

ts, you may switch on lighting close by its tank too.
no sudden movement in its vicinity. the juvenile will come to it when it is ready. be patient and maintain good water parameters. always remember to close the tank properly at all times. |
